Our growing history

Oakridge was first built in 1959 as a free-standing outdoor mall. In 1984, it was expanded to its present form as a fully-enclosed shopping centre and office complex. Cambridge Shopping Centres purchased Oakridge in 1985. In early 2001, Cambridge merged with Ivanhoe to become Ivanhoe Cambridge and now co-owns Oakridge with Omers Realty Corporation.

Oakridge Centre underwent an 18-month renovation in 1994, when both interior and exterior enhancements were made. The renovation included the centre’s first Food Court, the Boulevard Bistro, a one-of-a-kind design with 15 food services.

A living community

Oakridge Centre includes office space in two office towers – the North Office Tower and the South Office Tower. There are 27 medical/dental offices and 28 professional offices comprising 116,009 square feet. Oakridge also houses 32 residential condominiums, which occupy 50,400 square feet.
